About Biomeon

The gut health industry is currently valued at over $30 billion, fueled largely by marketing claims rather than clinical data. Biomeon exists to provide analytical clarity in a space dominated by wellness influencers and proprietary algorithms.

Our Methodology

We evaluate microbiome testing companies and dietary protocols based on a strict set of criteria:

  • Technological Rigor: Differentiating between basic 16S sequencing, shotgun metagenomics, and metatranscriptomics. We look at the actual lab processes, not just the marketing copy.
  • Data Transparency: Companies must provide clear citations for their nutritional recommendations. If a recommendation algorithm is completely hidden in a "black box" without peer-reviewed backing, we flag it.
  • Clinical Actionability: Data is useless if you can't act on it. We review whether the dietary protocols suggested by these tests are sustainable and grounded in established nutritional science.

Editorial Independence

Biomeon is independently funded. We purchase the testing kits we review. If a test provides poor data or actionable advice, we say so. Our loyalty is to the science and the consumer, not the testing laboratories.
